  • DuPont's new media integrates with existing chromatography resins to optimize purity, yield and recovery.

DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (DD - Free Report) has launched AmberChrom SIL silica gel, a new reverse-phase silica-based chromatography media designed to support the purification and manufacturing of peptide therapeutics, including glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. The launch expands DuPont’s bioprocessing purification portfolio and strengthens its suitability for high-purity polishing.

Growing demand for peptide therapeutics for the treatment of diabetes, obesity and other chronic conditions is increasing the need for efficient purification technologies at a larger scale. AmberChrom SIL silica gel is designed to help biopharmaceutical manufacturers meet stringent purity requirements while maintaining high yields.

Available in C8 and C18 chemistries, the new product offers high resolution, stability and scalability for demanding peptide separations. It can be used during multiple stages of purification to address diverse impurity profiles and specific process requirements.

DuPont’s latest launch can also be integrated with its existing chromatography technologies, including AmberChrom XT, AmberChrom TQ1 and CG resins. Combining silica-based and polymeric chromatography technologies with a single purification workflow enables manufacturers to optimize purity, yield and recovery across multiple stages.

The launch reinforces DuPont’s focus on expanding its solutions to address evolving needs by offering process development and manufacturing scale-up to optimize purification workflows and achieve purity targets.
